WHAT IS THIS?
A fresh initiative by Camden Town Brewery that backs local pubs and nurtures homegrown talent in four cities nationwide
Camden Town's mission is to give back to the pubs and bars we all knw and love by supporting homegrown talent in key cities across the country. Live now across Manchester, Liverpool and York - We have worked with local artists to create bespoke printed t-shirts celebrating local uniqueness!
Any account in these regions that installs at least two Camden lines or expands their Camden family from tow to three lines of freshness will be provided T-shirts, each available with the pub's own logo so beer lovers, just like us, can support their locals, all whilst looking fresh as Hells.

I wanted to create a work that has a nod to Yorks iconic architecture, the stained glass art that features in pubs and churches throughout the city and the inns that have been a feature here for thousands of years, from the Romans all the way through to the modern day.

My work is heavily influenced by optimism, nature and feelings. I play with shapes, colour and fluid lines to convey messages of joy and connection. The places and elements I have included onto my Camden design are places and nods to things that I think of when thinking of my home city; The Halle, Night and Day, Music that has come through the city both new and old, Canal St and Manchester’s inclusive queer scene, the Buddleia see taking up space along the canal or our of buildings, and football.

My piece is a Scouse-isometric dreamscape-mash up of some of the places and things I love about our city. From the Albert dock to the steps in L1 - I wanted to explore some connections we have with different places and the inward significance of these places and the memories they hold for us. I’ve chosen historic landmarks along with modern phrases and characters to show the richness and the vibrancy of our city.
